Turkish Tomato Salad

The perfect turkish tomato salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 100 g Onions
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • 500 g Tomatoes
  • 250 g Cucumber
  • 0,5 bunch Flat leaf parsley
  • 25 ml Lemon juice
  • 25 ml Oil
  • Salt
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  1. Peel the onion, cut in half and cut into very fine slices.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and let rest for a few minutes.
  3. Rinse the onions briefly and squeeze them well.
  4. Core the tomatoes and cut into small cubes.
  5. Peel and halve the cucumber, remove the seeds with a teaspoon and also cut into small cubes.
  6. Pluck the parsley from the stalks and roughly chop.
  7. Mix lemon juice, oil and salt and pour over the salad.
  8. Season to taste with pepper and a pinch of sugar.
  9. If you like it spicy, you can add a chopped pepperoni.
