Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ small onion(s)
  • 1 ½ tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 ½ tbsp oil (e.g. olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp herbs (frozen or fresh, e.g. chives or parsley)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Simple, fast and universally applicable

Info: The serving size is for one bowl of lamb’s lettuce, one head of lettuce, or one cauliflower. Finely chop the onion and mix it with the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. I like to use a dressing shaker for this. If mixing by hand, first dissolve the sugar and salt in vinegar, then add the remaining ingredients. Just before serving, pour the dressing over the salad and fold in. If using the dressing for green beans or cauliflower, let the cabbage or beans cool briefly and then fold in the dressing while they are still lukewarm. This way the dressing can be absorbed better and the flavor is even better. The dressing is wonderful for many different salads, such as leaf salads, coleslaw, carrot salads, beans, cauliflower, or even potato salad. Try your own variations. I look forward to your comments.
