Valentine’s Cupcakes

  • 130 g Soft butter [1]
  • 130 g Fine sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla sugar [1]
  • 120 g Flour
  • 1,5 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 170 g Soft butter [2]
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar [2]
  • 350 g Powdered sugar
  • Red food coloring
  • Decoration
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Line a muffin tin with 12 paper liners.
  1. Put the butter [1] and sugar in a bowl and stir. Add eggs. Then stir in the vanilla sugar [1]. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Finally add milk and cocoa powder. The dough should now be smooth and should fall off the edge of the bowl if you tap it lightly. If this is not the case, one to two tablespoons of milk can be added.
  1. Pour the dough into the paper cases until they are 2/3 full. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  1. While the cupcakes are cooling down, you can make the buttercream. To do this, beat butter [2] and vanilla sugar [2] in a bowl for 2-3 minutes until frothy. Gradually sift in the powdered sugar and continue beating the mixture for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the food coloring and fill into a piping bag with a star nozzle.
