Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 600 g flour
- 400 g margarine or Alsan
- 200 g xylitol (sugar substitute) or stevia
- 2 tsp orange zest
- 1 pinch of turmeric
- 10 m.-sized apples
- 50 g almond flakes
- 3 tbsp raisins
- ½ lemon(s), the juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp xylitol (sugar substitute) or stevia
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Knead the flour, Alsan, and xylitol with the orange zest and turmeric to form a dough. Cover the finished dough and set it aside in the refrigerator to rest. In the meantime, peel, quarter, and core the apples. Cut the apple pieces into thin slices and place them in a bowl. Mix with the lemon juice, xylitol, cinnamon, raisins, and flaked almonds. Line a small baking sheet with baking paper. Lightly roll out two-thirds of the dough and spread it on the sheet. Press the dough down with your hands, ensuring that the edges rise slightly. Distribute the marinated apples over the dough. Tear off small pieces of the remaining dough and scatter them over the apples. Sprinkle with flaked almonds, if desired. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) with conventional heating for about 45 minutes. Let it cool slightly and serve.
