Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 150 g soy fillet(s) (soy curls – pulled soy)
- 200 ml water
- 6 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tsp liquid smoke
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Preheat the oven to 110°C (top/bottom heat). Boil the water in a kettle and stir it into a bowl with the marinade ingredients. Let the soy curls soak in the marinade for about 10 minutes. Stir frequently to ensure all the curls are fully coated. Spread the jerky on a baking sheet and bake for 50 minutes. If you prefer a crispier finish, leave it in for 10 minutes longer. But be careful not to burn it! Turn it over every 10-15 minutes. Let the finished jerky cool and store in an airtight container.
