Vegan smoothie with prickly pear and currants

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 banana(s), ripe
  • 1 prickly pear(s), ripe
  • 3 bunches of currants, red
  • 200 ml oat milk (oat drink)
  • Sugar or sugar substitute (only if needed)
  • 2 tbsp rice, cooked (if available)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

with a special tip

Peel the banana and slice it into pieces. Halve the prickly pear lengthwise and, like a kiwi, scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Wash the currants and remove the berries from the stems with a fork. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for about 2 minutes. The prickly pear seeds probably won’t be completely ground, so you’ll still be able to taste the seeds. Sugar isn’t really necessary. Tip: If you have freshly cooked rice, definitely try it! It tastes really delicious, especially with basmati rice.
