- 300 g margarine (sunflower margarine)
- 1 tbsp, stripped onion(s), finely chopped
- 1 tsp, leveled vegetable broth, granulated

In a small saucepan, roast the onion with a little margarine until golden brown, then add the remaining margarine and the vegetable stock granules. Once the margarine has melted, remove the pan from the heat and stir again just before it cools. This basic recipe can be expanded to your liking with spices such as salt, pepper, paprika, curry powder, thyme, oregano, rosemary, or ingredients such as finely chopped garlic, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, or ginger—the sky’s the limit.
