Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bottle of whisky, 0.7 liters
  • 350 g brown rock sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 7 days; Total time approx. 7 days 10 minutes

Split a vanilla pod lengthwise and place it in a wide-mouthed bottle. Sprinkle the rock sugar on top and then pour in the whiskey. Let stand for 3 days; do not shake. Then shake the bottle once and let stand again. Once the rock sugar has completely dissolved, pour the liquid through a sieve and bottle. If you prefer, you can also remove just the vanilla pod and leave the vanilla particles in the liqueur. It can be drunk with cola and also tastes delicious in black tea. Tip: For Christmas, I added a cinnamon stick and a star anise.
