White Cabbage Stew

The perfect white cabbage stew recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 White cabbage
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Chopped onion
  • Sunflower oil
  • Butter
  • Dried meat
  • Bacon
  • 500 g Veal
  • 7 Peeled garlic clove
  • 2 tsp Vegetable broth
  • 2 tsp Paprika spice
  • Parsley
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Water
  1. Heat the oil and butter in a large saucepan, cut the onions and carrots into small pieces and fry them in them.
  2. Put the dried meat and meat in bite-sized pieces in the saucepan and sear them.
  3. Add garlic cloves (roughly chopped), vegetable stock, paprika seasoning (I use smoked paprika), parsley and pepper
  4. Deglaze with water.
  5. Roughly chop the cabbage. Put half of the cut cabbage in the saucepan. Now season a lot of salt and then put the remaining cabbage on top.
  6. Pour water (for me it was 1.5-2 liters) and let it simmer for 1 hour with the lid on. Possibly add a little more water. To taste.
