Yogurt – walnut – rolls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 21 g yeast, fresh
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 250 g wheat flour, type 1050
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g low-fat yogurt
  • 70 g walnuts, coarsely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

makes 6 rolls

Crumble the yeast into a cup and mix with 100 ml of lukewarm water and the sugar. Cover and let rise for about 10 minutes. Put the flour, salt, baking powder, and yogurt in a bowl. Add the yeast and knead everything with the dough hook of a hand mixer until you have a smooth dough. Cover and let rise for about 50 minutes. Knead in the chopped nuts and divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Shape into oblong rolls and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Brush the rolls with salted water and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 30-35 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack. Tip: You can also sprinkle the rolls with some chopped nuts before baking!
