Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g butter, room temperature
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk, warm
  • 360 g flour, smooth
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 80 g raisins
  • 250 ml milk
  • Butter and nuts for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Separate the eggs. Cream the butter with the sugar and warm milk until fluffy. Stir in the egg yolks one at a time. Combine the flour with the baking powder and raisins and stir into the butter mixture along with the cold milk. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Pour the batter into a buttered and nut-dusted dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C on the bottom rack for about 1 hour (depending on your oven). Let cool in the dish for about 20 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and let cool completely. Sprinkle with icing sugar or cover with chocolate glaze. You can also use chocolate sprinkles instead of the raisins, or both.
