Chocolate muffins with Smarties and marshmallows

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 ml milk
  • 150 g butter, soft
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100 g sweets (mini Smarties)
  • 50 g sweets (mini marshmallows)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 160°C fan/convection oven. Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy (about 5 minutes). Gradually beat in the eggs. Combine the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Add the flour mixture to the liquid mixture, then quickly stir in the milk and salt. Fold the marshmallows and Smarties into the batter. Pour the batter into a baking dish lined with baking paper and bake for about 20 minutes.
