Baking: Apple Thalers
The perfect baking: apple thalers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
the tallow dough
- 125 g Butter
- 50 g Dark chocolate
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla sugar, own production
- 1 piece Egg from Helene
- 1 pinch Salt
- 200 g Flour type 550
- 0,5 packet Baking powder
- 1 handful Dried cranberries
- 500 g Apple wedges
- 1 shot Rum
the sprinkles
- 50 g Butter
- 4 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoon Flour type 550
the cast
- 4 tablespoon Powdered sugar
- 2 cl Rum
- Let the butter and chocolate melt. Beat with salt, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg on the highest setting for about 3 minutes.
- Add the apple wedges, the finely chopped cranberries, flour and baking powder and stir everything well. Flavor with rum.
- Make crumbles from butter, sugar, flour and cinnamon.
- Line a tray with baking foil or paper and place a dessert ring (10 cm) on it. Pour in the dough with a tablespoon, press firmly, sprinkle the crumble on top and do the same with the rest of the dough.
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and bake the thalers (12 pieces) for about 25 minutes with convection. (Stick sample).
- Mix the rum with powdered sugar to a glaze and decorate the still hot thalers with it.
