Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g sugar
  • 450 g flour
  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 12 eggs
  • Vanilla flavor
  • cocoa

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Mix the sugar, flour, and baking powder in a bowl. Add the butter and stir in. Separate the eggs, add the egg yolks and vanilla extract, and mix into the batter. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Divide the batter into two portions and add cocoa powder to one portion, if desired. Grease a deep baking sheet or line it with baking paper. Then place the batter in layers on the baking sheet and marble with a spoon. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. The cake will keep for several days if stored covered.
