Cheese Roll
The perfect cheese roll recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Edam semi-hard cheese, always 8 slices
- 6 Pc. Hard boiled egg
- 5 Pc. Gherkins
- 1 Pc. Red pepper
- 3 Discs Cooked ham
- 0,5 Can Corn
- 50 g Butter
- 150 g Processed cheese (triangular from the round tin, 1 flavor of your choice)
- Salt, pepper, paprika seasoning
- Baguette
- Baking paper on baking sheet Place sliced cheese on baking paper with a slight overlap Let it melt in the oven at approx. 100 degrees Let cool down briefly
- Dice eggs, cucumber, ham and bell pepper, add corn. Mix all ingredients with butter, processed cheese and spices
- Spread the mixture on the cheese platter, leave a small edge everywhere. Roll up the cheese platter from the long side, press down a little on the edge. Pack the roll in aluminum foil. Leave to set in the refrigerator for 2 hours (also overnight if possible)
- Cut the cheese roll into 1-2 cm thick slices Cut the baguette into fine slices Place the cheese slice on the baguette slice
