Pork strips in pepper and onion cream

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg pork strips
  • 6 large onions
  • e.g. olive oil
  • 150 g tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp mustard, medium hot, e.g. B. Bauzener
  • 2 tsp peppercorns, green
  • 1 tsp marjoram, dried
  • 1 pinch of chili powder, alternatively 1/2 chili pepper
  • 200 g cream
  • 700 ml beef broth
  • 200 g cream cheese spread
  • 300 g chanterelles or mushrooms (jar)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel the onions, slice them into rings, and sear them with the meat in a little olive oil. Deglaze with the broth and then add all the other ingredients. Simmer over low heat for about 25-30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with potatoes, pasta, or rice.
