Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g strawberries
  • 400 g banana(s)
  • 4 cl brown rum
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar 2:1
  • 50 ml lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Remove the greens from the strawberries, wash them, and puree them with the bananas. Add the rum and lemon juice. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add everything to the mixture. Fold in the gelling sugar and bring everything to a boil until foamy. Simmer gently for 4-8 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove the vanilla pod and fill everything into jars with screw caps. Let them rest upside down for at least 5 minutes to allow the lids to tighten properly. This quantity is sufficient for approximately 4 jars of 250 ml each and will keep for approximately one year.
