Apple and Cherry Crumble Cake
The perfect apple and cherry crumble cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Wheat flour
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 300 g Diced butter
- 300 g Cane sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 3 Eggs
- 750 g Lowfat quark
- 1 packet Custard powder
- 1 packet Vanilla extract
- 2 Apples
- 1 Sour cherries from the glass
- First you put the ingredients for the dough in a mixing bowl and mix everything together until crumble forms. Put half of the dough in a greased pan (tray or quiche pan, depending on your mood) and press the dough in firmly. Since the oven was preheated to 175 degrees top and bottom heat, you slide your tray / tin in and let the base bake for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile you prepare the filling: to do this, mix all the ingredients, except for the apples, together until a nice, homogeneous mass forms. At the end you fold in the cherries. The apples are washed, cored, peeled as desired (I left the peel with an apple, as the red color looks nice between the sprinkles) and finally cut into small pieces. As soon as the 15 minutes are over, put the quark cream in the mold and spread the apple pieces. Finally, the remaining sprinkles are sprinkled over it. After that, the cake is put back in the oven at the same temperature for 30 minutes. Please let the cake cool down in the mold for a few minutes before you take it out, dust it with cinnamon and try it!
