Apple punch

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 ml white wine, dry, e.g. Riesling
  • 250 ml apple juice, no added sugar
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 tea bags (apple)
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 1 shot of Calvados, or a little more
  • 4 tsp sugar, brown sugar, or brown rock candy for sweetening)
  • 1 apple, sour, e.g. Granny Smith

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Heat the wine, juice, and water, but do not boil. Add the tea bags, spices, sugar, lemon juice, Calvados, and the chopped apple and let it steep for at least 10 minutes. For a stronger punch, use 500 ml of wine and 250 ml of water. Add more sugar if necessary. Pour into glasses with the apple pieces and serve hot.
