Avocado, bacon, tomato and grilled cheese sandwich

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of sandwich toast
  • ½ avocado(s), thinly sliced
  • 2 tomato slices
  • 3 slices of bacon
  • 2 slices of cheese (sandwich cheese)
  • 2 tsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Halve the bacon slices and fry in a non-stick pan over medium heat for about 8 minutes until crispy. Drain the bacon on a paper towel. Pour the cooking fat into a small bowl and reserve it. Briefly wipe the pan. Now add the butter to the pan and let it melt. Add the 2 slices of toast and fry on one side for about 3 minutes over medium heat – the toast should have a deep light brown color. Remove the toast slices, with the toasted side facing up. Top the toast slice with a slice of sandwich cheese. Then cover with bacon, avocado slices, and tomato slices. Place another slice of cheese on top. Now place the second slice of toast on top (with the toasted sides facing in) and return half of the reserved fat to the pan. Fry the toast on one side over medium heat for about 5 minutes until crispy. Remove the sandwich, add the remaining fat to the pan, and finish frying the other side over medium heat for 5 minutes.
