Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg carrot(s)
- 1 kg potatoes
- 500 g smoked pork
- 4 Mettwurst sausages (Mettenden)
- 50 g butter
- ⅛ liter milk
- 1 egg(s)
- possibly pepper
- some salt
- 2 tbsp broth
- n. B. water
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
Peel and chop the carrots. Peel and chop the potatoes. Brown the smoked pork in a large pot, then add the potatoes, carrots, and mettenden sausages. Deglaze with water, add the broth, and let it simmer. When the carrots and potatoes are tender, remove the smoked pork and mettenden sausages and keep warm. Drain the liquid and mash everything with a potato masher. Add the milk, butter, and egg, and purée with a blender if desired. Serve with the smoked pork and mettenden sausages.
