Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 2 ½ m.-sized potatoes
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 g butter
  • 250 g cheese (Emmental)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and wash the potatoes, bring to a boil in salted water, cook for about 15 minutes, drain, and slice while still warm. Place the potato slices in a large, shallow baking dish or drip tray, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs. Place small pieces of butter on top and grate the cheese over the potatoes. Place the baking dish or drip tray on the oven rack and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes.
