Cookies: Caramel Stars

The cookies

  • 400 g Spelled flour type 630
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 Knife point Ground vanilla
  • 100 g Mascarpone

The caramel cream

  2. Mix the flour, sugar, egg, salt and mascarpone into a batter. Stir in the caramel cream and knead well. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least two hours
  3. Roll out the dough in portions (between two layers of foil, on flour or a baking mat) and cut out small stars. Place this on a sheet lined with paper or foil and bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees air circulation for approx. 10 – 12.
  4. After it has cooled down, brush one star with the caramel cream and cover with a second star.
  5. Let some couverture melt and decorate the stars with it.
  6. If there is any residue left over from the caramel cream, you can use it as a spread or just snack on it.
