- 1 pack of puff pastry, 6 sheets of dough or enough for 2 baking trays

- some powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
from Transylvania, for 10 pieces
Make two large, rectangular sheets from the puff pastry. To do this, place the required small sheets for each half (3 of the 6 sheets) on top of each other and roll them out with a rolling pin, or buy two appropriately sized puff pastry sheets. Each half should fit on a full baking sheet lined with baking paper. Prick the two sheets several times with a fork to prevent them from rising too much during baking, and bake at 175°C (preheated) for about 20-25 minutes, until risen and golden brown. Mix a little milk with the flour until lump-free. Pour the remaining milk into a saucepan, heat, and mix with the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Quickly stir the mixed flour into the lukewarm milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until creamy. If desired, add rum or other flavorings to taste and let cool. Spread the cream on one of the puff pastry sheets, place the second sheet on top, and gently press down. Finally, the cake is dusted with powdered sugar.
