Crispy onions

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 3 parts flour
  • 1 part paprika powder
  • 1 part/e pepper, white
  • 1 part salt
  • 1 part nutmeg, freshly grated
  • n. B. Oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

fantastically crispy

Mix the flour with the spices. Slice the onions into rings, as thin as possible, and coat them in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour and deep-fry the onions in hot oil. This also works in a pan. The onions are perfectly fried when they turn dark brown to brown-black after a few minutes. However, they quickly turn black and bitter, so watch carefully to remove the onions with a slotted spoon at the right time. Drain immediately on kitchen paper to ensure they stay crisp. Tastes great with all egg dishes, Maultaschen (ravioli), fried potatoes, salads, or even on their own as a snack.
