Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Crispy, creamy casserole with the aroma of baked apples!

Mix the quark with the sugar and pudding mix. Then add the milk and eggs and beat until smooth. Place the croissants in a buttered baking dish. Peel the apples, depending on your taste, or cut them into pieces with the skin on. Then arrange these pieces around the croissants in the dish. If you like, sprinkle some cinnamon over the apples. Then spread the milk and quark mixture over the apples in the baking dish. Bake the casserole at 175 degrees Celsius with medium humidity in a steam oven for about 25 minutes. (Alternatively: 175 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat with a bowl of water on the oven floor). Garnish the finished casserole with a little chocolate sauce, if desired, and serve. Tip: A scoop of vanilla ice cream goes wonderfully with this fragrant casserole.
