Currywurst with a twist

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ tbsp oil
  • 8 thick sausages
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 large onions, cut into rings
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 375 ml beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

The sauce also tastes great when grilled!

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the sausages until crispy. Drain and slice diagonally into approximately 2 cm thick slices. Heat the butter and fry the onion rings until softened. Stir in the curry powder and flour until the mixture begins to bubble. Remove from the heat and stir in the broth. Add the sausage slices. Return to the heat and bring to a boil until the sauce has thickened. Then stir in the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and heat through.
