Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 10 eggs
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 10 rolls
  • 75 g herbs, frozen 8-herb mixture
  • 125 g ham, raw, diced
  • pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Cut or tear the rolls into cubes. Place them in a suitable bowl and pour over the milk. Then add the eggs and mix everything slowly. Then immediately mix in the herbs and diced ham. Mix well again so that all the rolls are soaked. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it sit for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, grease a baking dish with margarine. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Pour the soaked mixture into the dish and bake at 180-200°C (350-400°F) for 45 to 60 minutes. Check it every now and then; when it’s the desired browning, remove the dish from the oven. This goes best with a green salad with a fresh dressing.
