Eggnog without alcohol

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 200 ml milk
  • some water or black tea
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • some orange peel or orange flavoring or juice
  • some gingerbread spice or Christmas spice

Instructions

Working time approx. 3 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Whisk 1 egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of sugar until creamy. Bring the milk to a boil with a little water (or black tea), lemon juice, orange zest, and gingerbread spice. Then pour it over the egg yolk. Whisk everything together, and you’re done. You can use Christmas spice instead of gingerbread spice. It’ll be a bit more bitter for adults. Or you can add cream to make it even creamier. I used 1.5% milk (it tastes good too and saves calories).
