Fine cherry jam with cherry brandy

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g sour cherries
  • 125 ml brandy (cherry brandy)
  • 500 g gelling sugar
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

from the microwave

Wash and pit the cherries, then add the juice of half a lemon and the cherry brandy. Mix well with the gelling sugar. Let it steep for a while. Cook uncovered in a large glass or porcelain bowl for 18-20 minutes at 600 watts. Stir several times halfway through the cooking time to prevent foaming. Then fill the cherries into the prepared jars and immediately seal tightly.
