Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp salt
- 100 g bacon, streaky
- Butter, for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Sift the flour and gradually whisk it into the milk. Then add the eggs and mix until smooth. Stir in the salt. Cut the bacon into cubes and fry a few at a time in a little butter until translucent. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the bacon cubes and fry until golden brown on both sides. In northern Germany, they serve it with a green salad; in Sweden, they serve it with lingonberries. It’s worth a try!
