Homemade Christmas plum and cinnamon liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 liter vodka, 37%
  • 250 g plum(s)
  • 20 kernels (dry plum kernels)
  • 1 pinch of star anise
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 400 g brown cane sugar
  • ½ vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 28 days; Total time approx. 28 days 30 minutes

First, it’s important that the stones are completely dry and no longer have any flesh attached. Then wash and halve the plums and place them in a glass bowl or glass bottle. Add the remaining ingredients, including the plum stones, and let stand for about 4-5 weeks, sealed. Then strain the contents through a sieve, and you have a delicious liqueur. The cinnamon adds a little Christmassy touch. All we can say is: absolutely delicious, and cheers.
