Kritharaki casserole

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed
  • salt and pepper
  • 500 g Kritharaki (rice-shaped noodles)
  • 2 onions
  • 1 ½ liters of meat broth
  • 1 tube(s) Tomato paste
  • 2 cups of cream
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Brown the minced meat in oil, season with salt and pepper, and remove from the pan. Dice the onions and sauté in the same pan. Deglaze with the broth, add the tomato paste, and season with salt and pepper. Layer the kritharaki noodles and the minced meat in a baking dish, starting with the pasta and ending with the pasta. Then pour the tomato sauce over the pasta. Simply pour the cream evenly over the top. Bake for 45 minutes at 200°C (top/bottom heat). Serve with salad.
