Lavender flower syrup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 handfuls of lavender, fresh flowers
  • 500 g sugar (syrup sugar for herbs)
  • 500 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the flowers with the water and sugar and boil down to a syrup. Remove the flowers (through a cheesecloth) and bottle while still hot. I used syrup sugar for herbal syrup. Lavender syrup goes well with sparkling water or sparkling wine. In herbal medicine, it is said that lavender can have a very calming effect on the nervous system, possibly helping with headaches, migraines, and difficulty falling asleep. It may also promote digestion by stimulating bile production. Don’t drink too much during the day.
