Leberkäse and potato pan with fried egg

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g boiled potatoes
  • 400 g Leberkäse (or 500 g if desired)
  • Clarified butter
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 1 tsp caraway powder
  • nutmeg
  • 1 bunch of chives or parsley
  • 8 eggs
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and cut into large cubes. Heat clarified butter in a large pan and fry the potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, caraway seeds, and nutmeg. Dice the Leberkäse (meatloaf), add it to the potatoes, and fry for about 5 minutes. In another pan, fry the eggs in a little butter until fried. Wash and finely chop the parsley or chives. Arrange everything on plates and sprinkle with the herbs. Serve with a simple leaf salad with lemon dressing.
