Liver sausage with onions

Wash the potatoes and boil them with their skins on. Then peel them and keep them warm. Peel the onions, slice them, and fry them in oil. Remove the skin from the liverwurst and fry the sausage with the onions. Serve with boiled potatoes and endive salad. This is a traditional dish from Saarland. You can also replace the liverwurst with leeks; in this case, it is called Lauchtunkes in Saarland.
