Instructions

Peel the onion and dice it into small cubes. Then sauté it in a little oil until translucent. Place the minced meat in a bowl and mix in the egg, some breadcrumbs, and the onions. Season with salt and pepper, and mix the meat mixture thoroughly. Top each slice of Maasdam with two slices of sliced ​​cheese and cut each into four equal pieces. Roll them up. Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions and add the cheese rolls. The cheese should be completely covered by the minced meat. Then form the portions into meatballs.
