Meatballs with Cranberry Sauce

The perfect meatballs with cranberry sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Mixed minced meat
  • 1 Onion
  • 0,5 bunch Dill
  • Salt and pepper
  • 150 g Sour cream
  • 3 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 1 glass Cranberries as a jam
  • 1 glass Cranberries
  • 1 sprig Rosemary
  • 0,5 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 shot Balsamic vinegar old
  • 1 Butter
  1. Mix the minced meat with the finely diced onion, finely chopped dill, sour cream and breadcrumbs. Season well with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until crispy on all sides.

Cranberry sauce:

  1. Sauté the finely diced onion in a little butter. Sprinkle with the sugar and let it caramelize slightly.
  2. Add the finely chopped rosemary.
  3. Add the cranberries with some of the juice and let it boil. Add the cranberry jam, bring to the boil.

  4. Let it simmer gently for about 10 minutes over a medium heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. Stir in the butter and season the sauce again.
  6. Serve the meatballs with the cranberry compote. Boiled potatoes go well with it.
