Mulled wine jelly

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bag of mulled wine spice
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 cloves
  • 150 ml apple juice
  • 150 ml red wine
  • 1 orange(s), untreated
  • 250 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

delicious and super quick to make

Bring apple juice and red wine to a boil with the spices and let it steep for about 20 minutes. Zest the orange, squeeze the juice, and add it to the stock along with the gelling sugar. Boil for 4 minutes. If necessary, test for settling on a small plate. Rinse the preserving jars with hot water and place them on a damp cloth. Pour in the jelly and immediately seal with twist-off lids. Turn upside down and let cool for a while. This also makes a lovely gift for dear friends. This makes approximately 650 ml.
