Mulled wine like at the Christmas stall

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bottle of red wine, strong
  • 1 half orange(s)
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Pour the wine into a large pot and heat, but do not boil. Grate 1 tablespoon of zest from each lemon and orange and add it to the wine. Squeeze the lemon juice and pour the juice into the pot. Add the spices and let it steep, covered, for about 15 minutes before serving.
