Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of cheese (Limburger, 9% fat) approx. 200 g
  • 1 pack of cream cheese, 0.2% fat, 200 g
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled onion powder
  • 1 pinch(s) garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 shot of beer, of your choice
  • possibly chives, in rolls

light version of the popular Bavarian beer garden cheese

Trim the Limburger (scrape off any excess grease with a knife) and cut into pieces. Place the cream cheese and Limburger in a bowl and blend with a hand blender until smooth, although it’s okay if some small pieces remain. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again thoroughly with the hand blender. The cheese should have a beautiful, orange-red color. Tastes great on fresh farmhouse bread or fresh rolls. Sprinkle with fresh chives, if desired.
