Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 7 cloves garlic
- 7 bay leaves
- 2 lemons (organic)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tubes of tomato paste
- e.g. vegetable broth
- salt and pepper
- Sugar
- some oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Add a little oil to a pan and fry the peeled, whole garlic until dark brown. Remove the garlic from the pan (otherwise it will become too bitter). Then fry the tomato paste in the garlic oil. Deglaze with vegetable stock. Quarter the lemons with their peel and add them along with the bay leaves. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes over low heat. Remove the lemons and bay leaves from the sauce, and serve.
