Ovaltine – Ice Cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 eggs
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml milk
  • 60 g drink powder (Ovomaltine)
  • 100 ml whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Can also be made in the ice cream maker

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the milk and Ovomaltine powder, whisking continuously. Whisk the cream and egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold in one at a time. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe dish and freeze for at least 4 hours. Stir frequently to prevent the formation of ice crystals. Tip: Serve the ice cream in dessert bowls with banana slices, garnish with whipped cream, and dust with Ovomaltine powder.
