Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, red, unpeeled
  • olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp, levelled pepper, black
  • Cayenne pepper, approx. 1/2 tsp, approx.

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

popular side dish in Cajun cuisine

Cut the unpeeled potatoes into 1/2 cm thick slices. Brush the potato slices with olive oil on both sides. Mix the seasonings well in a small bowl and sprinkle the seasonings on both sides of the potato slices. Cook the seasoned potatoes for 3-4 minutes in a kitchen grill or on a charcoal grill. Then turn them over and grill the other side for 3-4 minutes. These grilled potato slices are delicious and require considerably less work and fat than French fries. But be careful—they’re quite spicy. If you can’t find red potatoes, regular waxy or waxy potatoes will also work.
