  • 300 g tomatoes, dried
  • 2 tbsp herbs de Provence
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 100 ml vinegar
  • 300 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional)

Boil the tomatoes in water for about 2 minutes, drain, and let cool thoroughly. Place the tomatoes in a bowl. Crush the garlic cloves, mix with olive oil, vinegar, garlic, and Provençal herbs, and add chili powder, if desired. Drizzle everything over the tomatoes and let them marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Tip: Instead of a bowl or casserole dish, you can also use preserving jars; this way, the tomatoes can also be stored in the refrigerator for a while.
