Poppy seed spaetzle casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g spaetzle
  • 250 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 200 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 100 g ham, raw
  • 200 ml white wine
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • Paprika powder
  • 100 cheese, Gouda, grated
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onion and dice it into small cubes. Wash the bell pepper, pat it dry, and remove any white parts. Cut the ham into strips. Prepare the spaetzle according to the package instructions. Heat oil in a pan and fry the minced meat with the bell pepper, onion, and ham. Season with salt, paprika, and pepper. Add the passata and wine and simmer briefly. Season to taste. Then, toss the spaetzle in a casserole dish with the meat sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake the casserole at 180°C for 30 minutes.
