Potato Casserole with Sausage

The perfect potato casserole with sausage recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 300 g Fresh sausage
  • 1 Pc. Onion
  • 250 ml Cream
  • 2 Pc. Eggs
  • Oil
  • Salt, pepper, nutmeg
  • 80 g Grated cheese
  1. Boil potatoes as jacket potatoes, I do this the day before and let the potatoes cool down.
  2. Fry the sausage in the oil, peel the potatoes and cut into pieces, dice the onions. Take the fried sausage out of the pan and cut into pieces. Braise the onion in the frying fat.
  3. Mix the potatoes, sausage and onions in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper. Whisk the cream and eggs together and season well with the spices. Pour over the potato and sausage mixture and sprinkle with the cheese.
  4. Baked in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 35-40 minutes, if the cheese should get too dark, cover with aluminum foil. With a green salad.
