Quark with Lots of Fresh Herbs …
The perfect quark with lots of fresh herbs … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 ml Cream
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 Pinches Seasoned pepper
- 2 Pinches Chilli flakes
- 1 small Garlic clove chopped
- 1 bunch Chives fresh
- 3 leaves Borage fresh
- 3 Branches Fresh parsley
- 3 Branches Lemon balm fresh
- 1 branch Lovage fresh
- 3 250 gram pots Quark 40%
- We still love this simple dish. I’ve known it since I was a child, when my beloved grandma served it up for us. Later the parents also had a small garden with kitchen herbs and the mother prepared it for us. Today I do it according to old tradition for “my” family and it is eaten again and again because it tastes really good!
- This is how it is done: Pour the cream into a narrow mixing vessel, add salt, pepper, chilli and the finely chopped garlic with the finely chopped herbs; Mix with the hand blender until the mixture has turned green.
- Now fold in the quark, mix everything well and let it steep in the fridge covered (preferably overnight). Serve the next day with freshly boiled jacket potatoes. I like to add a piece of good butter to the dish, sprinkle with sea salt.
