Quick broccoli casserole

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 broccoli
  • 4 slices of ham or bacon of your choice
  • 250 ml Cremefine or whipped cream
  • 150 g cheese (e.g. mountain cheese), grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Clean the broccoli. Separate the florets, cut into bite-sized pieces, and cook until al dente (approx. 5-8 minutes). Dice or cut the ham or bacon into strips. Add it to a saucepan with the cream or whipped cream. Bring to a boil briefly and season with salt and pepper (if it’s too runny for you, simply simmer a little longer until the desired consistency is reached). Place the cooked broccoli in a casserole dish, pour the sauce over it, and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) until the cheese is lightly browned. Serve immediately. Tips: A little soup seasoning or nutmeg is also a good seasoning. Instead of cream or whipped cream, you can also make a béchamel sauce—depending on what you have at home. You can also prepare the casserole ahead of time and then bake it in the oven later (although it will take longer in the oven to heat up properly).
