Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g wheat flour or spelt flour
  • 250 g egg(s), usually 5 eggs are about 270 g, is also ok
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 3 tbsp quark, fat content as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beat the softened butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until smooth, then gradually beat in the eggs. Fold in the flour mixed with the baking powder a spoonful at a time, then stir in the quark. Pour the batter into a springform pan with a piping bag and bake at 180°C (350°F) on gas mark 3-4 for 40 to 50 minutes (test with a toothpick). The cake tastes better when it’s not too dry. If you don’t eat it right away, it keeps well. If you like, you can also stir in some chopped apples or a bag of ground nuts, almonds, or raisins.
